Kurt Ward

Kurt undertook his PhD at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand, under the supervision of Professor Bruce Russell. His work in Otago focussed on the genetic manipulation of Plasmodium cynomolgi as a model for investigating Plasmodium vivax drug resistance. Kurt joined the Fidock lab in April 2021, and is working on several projects investigating mechanisms of antimalarial drug resistance.
